Sầm Sơn Beach
Sam Son beach (Vietnamese: ''Bãi biển Sầm Sơn'') is a resort beach in Vietnam. It’s located in Sầm Sơn town, Thanh Hóa Province, Bac Trung Bo region, Vietnam, 16 km east of Thanh Hoa City.
The Sầm Sơn beach became a resort beach in 1906 when French colonists began to build facilities here.〔(Người Pháp khai thác Sầm Sơn (French made use of Sầm Sơn), )〕 The beach is 6 km long, extending from estuary of Lạch Hới to the foot of Trường Lệ mount. The beach is endowed with white sand, slopingly elevation, clean water.〔Vietnam: Mason Florence, Robert Storey - 2001 "SAM SON BEACH 037 Sam Son is possibly the most popular beach resort in the north. It is too far from Hanoi for day-trippers, but during summer the place is filled with weekenders escaping the oven-hot capital. "〕
